Our Eureka Springs Favorites

Spring is in the air today in Eureka Springs!

Sunshine, blue skies, and the hillsides popping with fresh green leaves have me excited about the weeks ahead.

In just a few weeks we’ll get to see many of you and welcome new visitors to our little magical town.

Today it occurred to me that there are so many “things to do” and “favorite places to eat”, and I wanted to share a few of our personal favorites. The list of personal picks is long, so I’ll be posting our seasonal favorites along the way in 2023.

I’ve been itching to be outside so let’s start with a few “things to do”, these are my favorites, and worth all the pennies.

  • Eureka Springs Zipline is opening on March 11th with three ultimate course cables and more runs to follow in April. What we love about this activity is that it’s perfect for the entire family and operated by some super focused and safe people, pricing is also reasonable.

  • Turpentine Creek Big Cat Rescue – check out the self-guided tour, get closer to tigers, lions, and bears than you would even believe, and support a non-profit organization.

  • Crescent Hotel Ghost Tour is an adventure combined with folklore and Civil War history. Officially the most haunted hotel in Arkansas, and is worth setting the time aside, for the 8 p.m. tour.

  • Golf at Holiday Island Country Club – play the 9-hole with an early tee time and have the afternoon free for sunshine but for the serious golfer playing the 18-hole course might be just the thing.

  • Lake Leatherwood is a beginner – moderate level hike and I like that I don’t need to be an expert to enjoy the outdoors and take in the beauty of the lake. The Parks department is working on organizing some activities in 2023 and we’re eager to see what they’ve put together.

  • Beaver Bridge this one is a must-do for me, one-lane crossing, makes my heart beat fast every time. The bridge was built in the 1940s, is a one-lane suspension bridge that resembles the Golden Gate Bridge, and is one of my favorite picture locations near Eureka Springs.

  • Holiday Island Marina is located north of Eureka Springs, on Holiday Island, and is the perfect place to rent a boat and explore the tail waters of Table Rock Lake. Reservations are a must, but you’ll have a day of sunshine and adventure.

If you know me you know eats and drinks are always at the top of my list, so here is a short list of my Springtime picks.

  • Rogue Manor – Dinner

  • Grotto Wood Fired Grill – Dinner

  • Eureka Charcutier – Panini and Togo Charcutier

  • Chelsea’s Corner Pizza – Late afternoon & Dinner

  • Carmen’s Tacos – Open 11 a.m. daily except Thursday

Downtown Eureka Springs has so much incredible nightlife, but these are simply where you’ll find us after 5 p.m.

  • Voodoo Lounge – Located inside The New Orleans Hotel and this is where you’ll find the best bartender in town.

  • Missy’s White Rabbit – Live music in a lounge environment and an easy walk if you’re staying downtown.

  • Eureka Live – Sparkly little basement bar with the only nightclub feels in Eureka Springs, not to mention drag shows on Friday and Saturday nights, and you don’t want to miss this fun.
